Surprises a head in 2007

There are more than 2 billion USB peripherals in the world including, most likely, your printer, mouse, keyboard, ipod, camera and just about anything else attached to your computer. But what if they didn’t have to be attached? That’s the promise of wireless USB, or WUSB. A new global standard those PC manufacturers will begin incorporating into their machines soon. Faster, easier to connect, and less power consuming than Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, WUB’s ultra-windeband radio technology can deliver data at a hyper fast 480 megabits per second the same as USB 2.0 at a range of up to 10 meters. And WUSB enabled machines can support as many as 127 connected devices simultaneously. That makes for a lot fewer cables on your desktop.
